All the expert reviews I’ve seen say that McAfee and Norton are pretty good, but then the user reviews say that neither is very good.

I’ve heard good things about Kaspersky from both experts and users, but I’ve never used it before.

What is the best antivirus (and preferably free) right now?

So when I had Kaspersky it wouldn’t allow me to download music and now I’m trying to choose a good antivirus that will protect my computer but still let me get music (i use Morpheus if it helps).
Some of the programs I’m looking at are AVG, Mozilla Firefox, Zone Alarm, ID Security Suite, and Avast.
If you have tried these can you let me know which works best for music downloads..

Please tell me valuable sources and I really need it. If it would make my computer slower, dont even mention it because my computer is slow enough. Also, if you can tell me how to make a computer faster, you will get a better chance of getting best answer.

I get the security alert every minute saying my computer is at risk in the following areas: virus protection is out of date. i’ve checked the settings numerous times and i cant get it to stop.
