So antivirus is different from antispyware? I have to get 2 different programs? Please help, I am completely ignorant about this!

I recently added avast antivirus because my norton trial was expireing. Now my computer wont connect to the internet at all. I tried uninstalling the program but i still cant use the internet. any suggestions?

My Norton Antivirus Software lapsed a few days ago and they want $69.99 for 2 years. My Dad is real mad that I let it lapse, so how can I get free antivirus protection on a college campus?

I have Norton Antivirus installed on my pc, and it expires on 9/16/06. Today it said in the control panel that I had no virus protection and I do scan daily.I want to change to a different antivirus program. Any recommendations?
I want to know how to correct the problem now before I uninstall the program and install a new program.

I keep getting the Antivirus 2009 pop up on my computer when I am online and I don’t know how to block it. I have set my pop up blocker on high but it still keeps coming up!!! Help!!!!!

well im about to buy a computer, and i want to buy a really good antivirus program that will seriously protect my computer.i really dont know much about anti-virus programs and thats why i need ur help.i dont care if it costs a fortune, but i want it to really protect my computer no matter what.i would also like some prove that the program recommended is really great.
