I have a program I’m using for work that has a file that Avast thinks is a virus. Apparently it’s normal for it to go off as a virus. Is there a way to make avast ignore it permanently? Or must I disable the whole thing whenever I want to use said program?

I once hired a guy to help me with some other issues, and he told me about a couple of free spyware/antivirus programs that are supposedly much better that Norton. But I lost the sheet where I wrote it down. Now Norton whants me to renew the subsdription, but I really don’t want to do it. The start up takes forever!

My internet connection was sometimes slow for the past week when I used CA Antivirus. Now that I stopped it from scanning, the connection is suddenly much faster. Does that mean CA Antivirus was the big culprit? How can such an expensive AV program cause so much of a hassle? Should I remove it completely? Will the CA Antivirus company refund me?

I am using Kaspersky anti virus. I want to re boot my system but i have lost the license key of kaspersky. Can you please help me how can i re generate those keys back?

I couldnt decide what to buy for my home PC which has Windows XP.
Kaspersky Internet Security 2009 or Kaspersky Antivirus 2009? Internet Security Software is costlier by $20 than the AV version. Whats the reason for that? Could someone temm me the difference between them? Thanks!

Which antivirus with active protection uses the least resources?
I need an antivirus for a pc with low specs and installing linux isn’t an option.

The computer has Win FLP on it 64 MB Ram and is used for editing in Word 2000.
So far it works great but i need an antivirus.
On my other computers i use Softwin Bitdefender because i have the license already(comes with a magazine i read monthly).
But it uses way to much memory to be usable on the legacy pc.

It keeps coming up and telling me I need to remove viruses. I tried to remove it from my computer adding and removing programs but it isnt there what can i do?
