i have had a similar problem before. i ran my symantec antivirus and updated my antiviral files. this took care of it. but so far not this time. what do i do?

I have the anti-virus protection service provided by Yahoo. It found 3 files infected by the virus when I ran it to scan my computer. However, it does not give me the option to kill the virus or delete the files. The files/viruses are still in my computer. How do I delete the infected files? Do I need to get another (real?) virus protection software or should the Yahoo version be sufficient? Thanks so much!

i have avira antivirus on my comp and i have just installed superantispyware (on some1s recomendation,coz of damage done by too many viruses that my antivirus cant control). is it ok to have both?will each interfere with the functioning of the other?

I honestly find the manual way a little difficult but may give it a try if it’s the ony way. I understand the going into regedit but am not sure what is the cache register of funny? if i have it right. If anyone can give the clearest possible directions (laymans version) it would be great. I am very computer literate just not on the programming side of things. Let me know what you think please. Thank you.
