it came with my laptop and im not really sure of what version it is. i tried using the add/remove programs in control panel but there’s always an error message which says Fatal error during installation. i tried using the norton removal tool on the net but it wont work too because it says that the symantec antivirus must be removed first. what do i do?

make sure you’re not trying to uninstall live update 1st, i’ve had that problem before… norton comes in many parts. sounds like you’re on the right track though.

The start menu click on the programs by symantec this will prevent the start menu click on startup and go through the bottom of the list and go to your start menu type in msconfig that will open the list.
Antivirus from starting.

Antivirus on it wont properly uninstall with out all of the other one and take off norton go away.
