I have 1.5 gigs of ram and 200 gig hard drive with a Pentium(R) 4 processor. The Geek Squad recommended PC Cillan. I had two friends who work with computers recommend Norton. Nobody recommended McAfee. Is there a good web site to compare these products?

DO NOT go with McAfee. I have it and its a memory hog!!! Try AVG its free and its pretty good. I had a problem w/ Norton. I bought the program and every yr renewed on line. At about yr 4 I had a problem and couldnt get my updated virus definitions, called Norton and their only answer was to uninstall and reinstall with original disk. But my original disk version was too old and it didnt work. Tech help was useless (after hours and hours).

I would recommend AVG Free, easy to use, free updates and you can schedule times to update and run a scan

I would NOT recommend Norton ever again
