I don’t want realtime protection of any sort. I just wnt the program to start when I run it, and not remain in memory or have any processes when I am doing other things.

Antivirus programs they are both quite lightweight and eset antivirus programs they are both quite lightweight and eset antivirus programs they are both quite lightweight and wont bog your system down unlike norton and mcafee you should be able to turn off realtime protection on any virus product though.

there is also avastfree home edition-only way i know to stop it is is turn it off or set settings to only install at your request-dont know of any program that will not go to memory ?
