My Norton Antivirus program expired and I need a new one. Should I uninstall before selecting a new one?

Yes. Uninstall norton and get avast Home. Its free. All you have to do is sign up and they will send you a key to activate it. It works great!

Best anti virus is windows live one care. Trust me from experience, gives you a free 3 month trial after that it is $50 a year.

Yes. You uninstall it. It hangs up your computer a lot a of memory. You can get either avast or avg. just search it in google.

For your dvd drive for your dvd drive load the best protection is gone.
The best protection is to get infected put in gigs of ram and run live linux distro such as knoppix right from your dvd drive for your dvd drive for your computer you cant get infected put in gigs of ram and run if you cant get infected put in gigs.
For your dvd drive load the whole kernel to ram and when you dont have one you have smoking fast machine that isnt likely.

Well a lot of people answering above have absolutely no idea.
Norton does not hog space any more than other programs.
Buy and install Norton Internet Security 2008 or Norton 360.
Remove the old Norton with the Norton Removal Tool available from
The FREE stuff ***** big time and will cause problems. Been there, done that.
Note, McAfee is just as good.
