when i try to scan my computer the scan starts and in between it reboots.i have avg 8.0 antivirus ver?

actually when i try to scan my comp the scan starts but the computer reboots in between, i have avg 8.0 antivirus. i restored the windows, but the problem persists.

remove avg
and
install avast antivirus it is free and does real time scanning but before going on that update data base and then start boot scan
thats it
