I forgot to uninstall the my old antivirus before installing the new one. please help!

I have an HP computer and right now I have Windows Live One Care. And i’m not satisfied with it. It sometimes freezes my computer up.
Now I’m looking for another antivirus software with firewall and antispyware that is excellent and that fits my budget.
And ideas???

I have to let other people use my computer, and I know some of them go to porno sites. I have antivirus software, but is there any way the computer can still get some kind of virus if multiple porno sites are visited?

What’s a good website for comparing free (or not) antivirus software?

I had seen one once in a question here, but I didn’t save it and I haven’t been able to find it again.

It was one of those websites that tests various antivirus software every few months and would report the results.

Anybody know?

message reads: Error 1500 - Another installation is in process. You must complete that installation before continuing this one. Ive uninstalled the previous out of date antivirus software. Never had that problem before. I have windows vista with windows defender. What is the problem?
