I have an antivirus (Mcafee) installed on one of my computers (XP) but I haven’t paid to have it updated. It keeps asking me to update but I just keep saying Remind me in two weeks. And then the Windows Security Alert thing keeps saying You’re computer is at risk. Is the antivirus actually doing any good if I don’t have it updated?

Is the antivirus software you buy on eBay as good as that you buy directly from Semantic. It says they remove the scan bar for some reason. Also Google offers a free Norton Security Scan with their service pack. Is this good antivirus protection?
