I really need a software that all around protects my computer. I have tried Norton and Macafee and they are god-awful. Not just spyware, not just antivirus, but an all-around software…

I am currently using Norton but sadly it will expire soon. I am looking for an antivirus software that can protect my pc longer especially when I’m always online. I have a 496MB ram.

I know that Norton might rock, but myself personally, I can’t tolerate the way it uses all of my ram and slows my computer down. I use spy bot, but that isn’t enough. Is there anyone out there who knows of an antivirus program that will not eat up my bank account or my computer’s capacity to function at a normal rate? Thank you for your time……

There’s alot of free antiviruses but is there any antivirus that detects everything without using a combo? The Norton that comes with Vista is a free trial and Avira doesn’t detect Adware Spyware.

PS. I am looking for FREE software. No combos!

i have an older version of norton and my computer aparently is infected, because when i use internet i have trouble. So i bought another antivirus 2008 , i want to know if the new program will clean up whatever virus im infected with automatically when i install it or I have to clean it up first and then install it.
