I forgot to uninstall the my old antivirus before installing the new one. please help!

My Norton Antivirus program expired and I need a new one. Should I uninstall before selecting a new one?

it came with my laptop and im not really sure of what version it is. i tried using the add/remove programs in control panel but there’s always an error message which says Fatal error during installation. i tried using the norton removal tool on the net but it wont work too because it says that the symantec antivirus must be removed first. what do i do?

I have to uninstall CA Etrust Antivirus 2005 in order to install Norton Antivirus 2007 and Norton Firewall 2007 and the rest. It is not in my control panel. Where EXACTLY do I find these files to uninstall so I can be protected?

I tried to go to the add remove programs, but there is no button for remove on Sophos antivirus. Is there another way to remove the program?
I checked the program files and there is nothing that says uninstall. Can I just delete the whole folder in the program files? Will that take the program off the computer?

i finally found how to uninstall it and i clicked it and it said successfully uninstalled, but then come to find out its still on my toolbar and isnt completely off of my computer. how do i COMPLETELY get it off of my computer? thankks!

I tried to go to Control Panel and uninstall it from there, but it not in the list of programs to delete, it keeps popping up and telling me that I have virus and I need to purchase it to remove the threats…i dont want to buy anything…so please..anyone that is computer saavy..please help me!

i finally found how to uninstall it and i clicked it and it said successfully uninstalled, but then come to find out its still on my toolbar and isnt completely off of my computer. how do i COMPLETELY get it off of my computer? thankks!
